Description

Electric guitar Back plate was created to replace a missing back plate on a guitar.

I have only uploaded a flat edge version but if anyone wants to generate a curved one feel free to upload the model.

I've included the OpenSCAD so custom plates can be generated. The screw spacing is based on the measurement from the edge but if you open up the code you can insert specific spacing.

  • Custom length and width.
  • Strait or curved edge.
  • Holes can be turned off, or number of rows changed.
  • Screw hole size configurable with or without countersink.
  • String cut-out is optional, with custom size and position.

If you use the generator I'd advise you place the outer face on the bed for a better finish. Additionally as this is inclined to lift off the bed I'd use a brim support.

Note: If you find anything wrong with the generator or have an idea on an improvement. Let me know and I'll see what I can do.
