Description

This model is currently in BETA development phase.

This is part of a steadfast vice system I am designing specifically for woodworking drill press use. I have been using it for a few months now. It works well and I am looking for public feedback to make it better. I recommend attaching a small piece of wood to the end of the vice (3.5" x 2.5" or roughly 9 x 6 cm) so it can clamp on the work piece easier. You will need to have a fence so the steadfast can clamp against.

Remember this is made of plastic. It will break if you use your super human strength to tighten it.

Assembly Notes:

  • The shaft is left threaded, to assemble it, you will have to turn it clock wise (lefty tightly :).
  • The shaft initially may not go in easily. Back track and try it a few times. After a couple of tightening it will be smooth as butter.

Any and all suggestions regarding size, shape or other aspects are welcome. Thank you for your interest.
