Description

My daughter needed a crow themed dice tower for her new DnD group. So i designed one.

I used a basic low poly crow i found on printables and made significant modifications to turn it into a dice tower.

  • I had to hollow it out.
  • I added an internal shelf for the dice to hit and flip off of.
  • I added a hole for the the dice to exit.
  • I enlarged the head and beak to fit standard sized dice.
  • I enlarged the feet and legs to make it more durable.

The crow doesn't really need any support, but it does need a brim of some sort on the tail, to hold it in place until the legs and tail all merge together. You really don't want brims on the feet, they just won't look nice. Bambu Studio doesn't allow brims on only selected surfaces.

So i decided to use supports to act as a brim for the tail. I added support blockers everywhere except the starting inside portion of the tail. If you have faith in the adhesion of the tail, then turn supports off.

The dice tower works fine as is, but there isn't a preferred direction for the dice to go. They just drop down. So I also designed a poop dish for the dice. You position it so it catches the dice coming out of the crow. I have a smooth version and a rocky surface version.

Very cool concept and print, thanks for sharing! I printed at 104.9% scale to make it as large as possible for the P1S so slightly larger dice wouldn't get caught. The underside of the tail came out a bit wonky but it's not super visible, and for whatever reason Bambu Studio wouldn't add supports itself. If I print it again, I will probably make the feet thicker and maybe embed the rolling tray so they don't come apart. Overall, this model rules and so does the print. Thanks again!!!

if you high slightly oversized dice it won’t fit but it fits normally sized stuff fine! Also some reason the tail kept coming out a little weird on the underside it was super rough compared to other prints I assume it’s the angle but I’m not sure

Awesome! printed this for mansion of madness. Fits perfectly theme wise. My only remark is about the dice dish, it might be too small. The dice (not normal d6) crash into eachother so they change the outcome. Otherwise absolutely perfect design!
