Catan 1st Gen Inlay (Base, C&K, S + 5-6 Player)
Print Profile(1)

Description
Organization for the Classics
This inlay was specially developed for the 1st generation of "The Settlers of Catan" (the edition with the wooden pieces). It is optimized to store the base game and the expansions Seafarers and Cities & Knights (each including the 5-6 player expansions) space-saving and organized in the original box. This is my first inlay because I couldn't find a suitable one here. I've certainly overlooked many things or made things more complicated than I needed to. I would be grateful for feedback.
Design Focus:
- Hexagon Base: To save material and maintain the Catan look, the base is provided with a stable honeycomb pattern.
- Space-Optimized: The boxes are reduced in height so that multiple units can be stacked on top of each other to ideally utilize the limited space in the old box.
Print Settings:
- Material: PETG (SUNLU) (I only have this, it certainly works with PLA too)
- Printer: Tested on Bambu Lab A1.
- Support: Not required. The design is such that all overhangs (including the honeycomb pattern) are printed cleanly without support structures.
- Infill: 15%
Version Note:
This inlay is precisely tailored to the dimensions of the 1st generation.
My box has the dimensions: 287x287x70 mm
I have added a German and an English version for the game pieces (Road, Settlement, City etc.), so pay a little attention when printing.
Unfortunately, the space for the game pieces is very limited, so the game pieces of the base game cannot simply be thrown in. I did it by putting the roads in first and then the cities and settlements on top, then it fits comfortably.
Happy printing and have fun at your next game night!
