Description

Reclaim your snack game and say goodbye to a pile of potato dust. Inspired by the back-to-school hustle and the "backpack crush," this design is the perfect protector for a stack of Pringles-style chips.

The rigid, two-part canister features a secure, twist-lock lid, making it easy to grab and go. The 3D geometric tessellated texture provides a satisfying grip and a sophisticated, modern aesthetic that looks great in any office, school bag, or picnic basket.

This model includes:

  • The Canister Body: Tailored for a perfect stack of chips.
  • The Secure Lid: Features a matching texture and robust twist-lock mechanism.

Never suffer another crushed snack.

IMPORTANT: CRITICAL GUIDELINES FOR FOOD-CONTACT SAFETY

Please do your own research related to 3D printed items and food safety.  Decide what you are comfortable with regarding 3D printed items and food storage.

FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D prints are generally NOT considered food-safe out of the printer. Layer lines create micro-cavities that can trap bacteria, and most filaments and brass nozzles are not certified for food contact.

To use this canister for actual chip storage, you MUST follow these specific post-processing steps to make it safe:

  1. Material Selection: Choose a known, reliable, food-safe plastic like a certified PETG. PLA can degrades with moisture and heat.
  2. Sanding: Thoroughly sand the interior surfaces to reduce layer lines and smooth the surface as much as possible.
  3. Food-Grade Epoxy Coating: This is the most critical step. Apply multiple coats of a certified, food-safe, high-clarity epoxy resin to the ENTIRE INTERIOR of the canister and the underside of the lid. Ensure it flows smooth and seals all pores.
  4. Curing Time: Allow the epoxy to fully and completely cure according to the manufacturer's instructions before any contact with food. This often takes days.
  5. Wash and Test: Wash the cured canister thoroughly with food-safe soap and water. Test it with non-perishable snacks first.
  6. Hand Wash Only: Do NOT place this printed item in a dishwasher. The heat will warp the plastic. Only clean with warm, soapy water.
