This way I can design even more great 3D models!

Hello!

Here you will find a DIN radio bezel, in my case perfectly matched to the VW Golf 4 / MK4 :)

It should also fit in the Bora, and probably also in other vehicles on the same platform such as the Audi A3 8L etc

In this you can accommodate 52mm auxiliary gauges, optionally 1, 2 or 3 pieces

Insert dimensions: 182.5mm wide, 56mm high, 44.2mm deep, wall thickness top/bottom 2mm, left/right 2.25mm

Front panel dimensions: 190mm wide, 59mm high, 2mm high/thick

Instrument dimensions: 52.55mm (extra tolerance for printing), wall thickness 2mm

Unfortunately, I have found that not all 52mm instruments are exactly 52mm. Accordingly, I recommend measuring the existing instrument with calipers before printing. In my case, the dimensions were 52.15mm and it fits very well

Alternatively, I created a print plate with a lower model height, which you can use as a test print. This way you can see if the bezel fits into your radio slot and if the auxiliary gauges you have really fit into the holes. This saves a lot of wasted filament if something doesn't fit

I strongly advise against using PLA (except for the test print plate just mentioned), as temperatures are very high, especially in summer, and UV resistance is also necessary. Even in winter, the heating from the surrounding air vents can cause damage to PLA!

So for prototype/test, PLA is fine, otherwise AT LEAST PETG/PETG-CF or even better ABS/ASA!

Customizations to all dimensions are possible upon request! :)

Happy printing! :)
