Compact NAS Enclosure for Raspberry Pi 4B+ (cased) + 4× 2.5" SATA SSDs
A clean, functional enclosure that integrates a cased Raspberry Pi 4B+ with up to four 2.5" SATA SSDs — designed as a compact home NAS for use with Immich or similar self-hosted services.
Drive connectivity
- 2 drives: connect directly via USB 3.0-to-SATA adapters (externally powered — power input handled via USB-C 5V trigger module)
- 4 drives: connect via a powered USB 3.0 hub + 4× USB 3.0-to-SATA adapters
Power
Two USB-C cables required:
- One for the Raspberry Pi
- One for drive power (a standard phone charger works perfectly)
Hardware required
- M3×6 screws — 4 per drive (16 total for full 4-drive config)
Notes
- Designed around a cased RPi 4B+ — the Pi itself sits in its own enclosure inside the box
- Slots for 2 additional drives already included for future expansion
- Compact and desk-friendly — no external wiring mess
