Frieza Realistic Multi-Color Parted Statue
1. Design Concept
Following the success of Majin Buu, the most iconic villain of the universe—Frieza—has arrived. This statue features a realistic anatomical style, highlighting lean muscle definition and his distinctive bio-armor, capturing both elegance and menace.
This is a No-AMS Multi-Color Parted model. Every iconic purple accent, the eyes, and even the mouth are engineered as separate physical parts. You can achieve a professional, multi-colored finish straight off the printer simply by swapping filaments between prints—no expensive AMS system required.
2. Engineering & Assembly Guide
This model is designed for a rewarding manual assembly experience:
- Glue-Free Fit: The components are designed to snap together via physical friction joints, requiring no glue under ideal conditions.
- Tolerances: The prototype was printed on Bambu Lab X1C and H2C using fresh Bambu Lab PLA. Depending on your machine's calibration and material quality, parts may fit tighter or looser.
- Set Your Angle: PLA is not a flexible material. To prevent breakage, align the part to your desired final angle before insertion. Attempting to rotate the joint after assembly may snap the internal pegs.
- Heat Assistance: If a joint is too tight, use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the internal connection point for a few seconds. This softens the plastic just enough for a perfect fit without affecting the external aesthetics.
3. Customization & Variants
- The Eyes: This is the only part small enough to potentially fall out. While a firm press usually secures them, feel free to use a drop of CA glue if necessary.
- Articulation: Most joints are circular, allowing for slight posing adjustments. For the exact look in the photos, rotate the joints until they are perfectly flush.
- Golden Frieza Variant: For those printing the Golden version, note a key color difference: The mouth for White Frieza is white (body color), while the mouth for Golden Frieza is purple (accent color). Double-check before assembly to avoid breakage during disassembly.
4. Scale & Dimensions
Three size versions will be available. For reference, the Frieza shown in the photos standing next to the 480mm Majin Buu is 400mm tall.
Quick tip:
- For complex prints, avoid photography mode—it increases the chance of print failure.
- Calibrate your machine and use dry, stable filament to improve reliability.
- Filaments used are listed below—Bambu’s gray remains my personal favorite.
- Needle-nose pliers and Bambu’s FAC002-N scraper make support cleanup far easier.
