Parts Transfer Tray with Removable Front Stop

This model is a compact parts transfer tray designed for collecting, holding, and pouring small hardware or other loose items.

The shape makes it easy to gather screws, nuts, washers, and similar parts in one place before transferring them into a different container, storage box, or small plastic bag. A removable front stop is included for the opening at the front of the tray. When the stop is installed, the contents stay inside more securely during handling. When the stop is removed, the front opening allows the contents to be poured out in a much more controlled way.

The tray was modeled in Fusion 360 and built from a 90 mm by 60 mm base profile with a 20 mm extrusion. The body was then hollowed with a 2 mm wall thickness to keep it lightweight while still feeling solid in daily use. Large fillets and smaller finishing details were added to create a smoother, more ergonomic shape and to improve the overall appearance of the print.

This makes the model useful in many situations, for example:

• Sorting screws, nuts, and washers in the workshop.
• Collecting small parts during assembly or disassembly.
• Pouring small hardware into storage boxes or zip bags.
• Handling hobby items such as beads, electronic parts, clips, or other tiny components.

The removable front piece adds flexibility to the design. You can keep it inserted while carrying or sorting parts, then remove it when you want to empty the tray quickly and neatly. This gives the model a simple but very practical workflow.

Printing should be straightforward on most FDM printers thanks to the clean geometry. PETG is a great option for workshop use, while PLA should also work well for light indoor use.
