Description

Bambu H2 AIO Enclosed Air System (Govee Integration)

I’ve designed an all-in-one enclosed exhaust system for the Bambu H2 series that integrates directly with a Govee air purification setup to improve indoor air quality (IAQ).

This system is engineered around the H2’s ~50 CFM exhaust output to ensure efficient airflow while maintaining low noise. The grill geometry is intentionally oversized to prevent restriction, allowing proper vane operation without excessive back pressure.

The system is paired with the Govee Mini Air Purifier, which operates at approximately 50 CFM on high, making it a well-balanced match for both intake and exhaust performance.

Key Features

  • Designed for balanced airflow (50 CFM matched system)
  • Low-noise, high-efficiency airflow path
  • Oversized grill vents to reduce restriction
  • Rotatable round adapter for adjustable positioning
  • Maintains clearance for exhaust vanes to fully open and close
  • Compact all-in-one enclosure design
  • Printed and tested in ASA for heat resistance and durability

Installation Overview

  1. Place the base unit in position
  2. Attach the adapter to the base
  3. Secure the exhaust duct mount to the back of the H2
  4. Connect and secure the exhaust duct
  5. Adjust rotation as needed for base

Fastening:

  • BT3x20 screws (x4) to mount to the rear exhaust duct

Compatible Components

Technical Overview

This system uses airflow balancing principles by matching the H2 exhaust (~50 CFM) with the intake capacity of the Govee purifier (~50 CFM). This helps maintain consistent airflow without introducing excessive back pressure or turbulence.

Because the H2 relies on a low static pressure fan, the duct and grill geometry are intentionally oversized to minimize restriction and pressure loss. This allows the system to operate efficiently while preserving airflow performance.

The design also improves source capture of emissions. Materials such as ASA can produce ultrafine particles (UFPs) and VOCs during printing, and capturing airflow directly at the exhaust helps contain and filter these more effectively than ambient air purification alone.

Airflow is also tuned to avoid overpowering the exhaust vanes, allowing them to open and close naturally without strain, contributing to quieter and more stable operation.

Future Improvements

  • Integrated mount for the air quality monitor
  • Additional IAQ-focused upgrades and modular components
