Description

Grinning Leprechaun Miniature - St. Patrick's Day Edition

Celebrate the luck of the Irish with this highly detailed, characterful Leprechaun miniature. This model captures a mischievous and weathered look, moving away from "cartoonish" styles toward a more high-fantasy, grizzled aesthetic. Perfect for St. Patrick's Day displays, tabletop gaming, or as a painting project.

Product Features

  • Expressive Character Design: Features a wide, mischievous grin, pointed ears, and a weathered facial structure that brings the character to life.
  • Iconic Details: Equipped with traditional elements including a tall buckle-top hat, a smoking pipe, a walking cane, and a long overcoat with tattered hems for a realistic, traveled look.
  • Dynamic Pose: The figure is captured in a slight crouch, leaning on his cane, suggesting he’s about to share a secret (or lead you on a chase for his gold).
  • Integrated Display Base: Comes with a circular pedestal base featuring intricate Celtic-inspired embossed patterns, providing stability and a professional finish.
  • High Texture Detail: The STL includes fine textures on the clothing, leather boots with buckles, and facial features, making it an excellent candidate for miniature painters using washes and dry-brushing techniques.

Suggested Print Settings

  • Printer Type: Optimized for both Resin (SLA) for maximum detail and FDM (PLA).
  • Layer Height: * FDM: 0.12mm or 0.16mm for smoother curves on the hat and coat.
    • Resin: 0.05mm for crisp facial details.
  • Supports: Required. Tree supports are recommended for the chin, pipe, cane, and the underside of the coat.
  • Infill: 10-15% (Gyroid recommended for strength).
  • Scaling: The model prints beautifully at standard 32mm/75mm tabletop scales but can be scaled up for a larger desk statue.

About the Photos

The provided photos show a successful test print in grey PLA, demonstrating how well the fine details—like the coat buttons and hat buckle—translate even on FDM machines.  The colour picture is the original design image not one that I have painted.
