Description

The Problem

Has the elastic shock cord at the bottom of your jacket snapped or pulled loose from the zipper seam? Most jackets use a flimsy plastic or fabric anchor that is nearly impossible to sew back once it fails. Don't throw your favorite outdoor gear away!

The Solution

This 45° Angle Shock Cord Anchor is a discreet, durable 3D-printed replacement. It is designed to sit perfectly inside the hem (the tunnel at the bottom of your jacket), providing a solid point of resistance for your elastic cord.

Key Features

  • Ergonomic 45° Angle: The cylinder is angled at 45 degrees to follow the natural curve of the jacket's hem, ensuring a flush fit without sharp corners poking through the fabric.
  • Optimized Clearance: The 4mm internal diameter allows standard 3mm shock cords to slide through easily, making installation a breeze.
  • Ultra-Low Profile: With a 15mm diameter and 2mm thickness, the anchor remains "invisible" once tucked inside the jacket.
  • No Supports Needed: Designed to be printed flat on the circular base for a quick and clean print.

Installation Instructions

  1. Thread your 3mm elastic cord through the 4mm cylinder.
  2. Tie a small, secure knot at the end of the cord so it cannot pull back through.
  3. Slide the anchor into the opening of the jacket hem near the zipper.
  4. (Optional) For a permanent fix, add a single stitch through the fabric and one of the printed holes to keep the anchor from sliding.
