Get the ultimate horror onto your print bed!
This extremely detailed figure of a mutated monster (heavily inspired by iconic survival horror games) is an absolute eye-catcher and a fantastic project for any 3D printing enthusiast. The pictures show an FDM print that perfectly captures the incredible depth of the model.
🔥 Model Highlights:
- Insane Level of Detail: From the extremely fine muscle fibers and veins across the entire body to the exposed, mutated "heart" on the chest – this model offers endless details.
- Asymmetrical Threat: The massively mutated, oversized left arm with its gigantic claws creates an extremely dynamic and menacing silhouette.
- Textured Clothing: The torn tactical pants, pockets, and heavy boots provide a great contrast to the organic texture of the mutated skin.
- Perfect for Painting: Due to its deep grooves and fine structures, this model is excellent for washes, drybrushing, and detailed painting.
🛠️ Print Recommendations (print profile): The model is optimized for FDM printers (as seen in the photos) but can of course also be printed in resin.
- Layer Height: To perfectly bring out the fine muscle strands and veins, I recommend 0.12 mm or 0.08 mm.
- Supports: Absolutely necessary! As clearly visible in the first image in the gallery, Tree Supports are best suited here. They reliably support the heavy arms and claws, are easy to remove afterward, and protect the fine details of the figure.
- Infill: 10% to 15% (Gyroid or Cross Hatch) is completely sufficient for good stability.
- Material: PLA (like the beige/gray filament in the photos) is excellent, as it renders details well and provides a great base for subsequent priming.
Whether as a boss enemy for your next tabletop adventure, the centerpiece of a diorama, or a display piece for horror fans – this project is worth it!
If you have printed (or even painted) the model, please upload a Make! I look forward to seeing your results.
