Description
Thanks for viewing my 3D model.
This is a Recessed Ceiling Downlight Trim Ring (Goof Ring) suitable for covering rough or oversized holes or simply for decoration especially if using funky coloured filament.
Outer diameter: 130mm
Inner diameter: 75mm
Thickness: 3.6mm
It's got a nice and clean-looking chamfer.
If you have a textured plate I recommend printing face down (which is the orientation in the profile) as it creates a lovely effect on the visible surface of the ring.
Important: Due to the possible high temperatures of downlights, please do not use PLA for this print or any filament which could be subject to melting around lighting fixtures. I only recommend using this model if you're using LED lights (10W or lower). PETG works very well and I've used these for a while with lights on for over 12 hours continuous. ABS or ASA are also suitable alternatives.
