Description

Rim protection and/or decorative ring for the Tesla Model 3 18” Aero & Photon wheels.

The rims on the used Tesla Model 3 I purchased were scratched because the factory hubcap doesn’t cover them. This is a common issue with many Model 3. If the rim is already damaged, this ring improves the appearance by covering up the scratches.

Installation is simple: partially remove the hubcap, place the rim protector on, and then snap the hubcap back into place.

Made from PLA+ filament for testing, but I recommend PETG or ASA instead.

You’ll need five rim protectors per wheel. An H-series printer can print 10 pieces at once.

- I've uploaded print profile for P1S, X series printers etc.

2026.05.28. updete:

- It's compatble with Tesla Model 3 Highland Photon wheels too.

- I've also uploaded print profile for smaller bed size printers: A1, P2S…
- Recommended filament: eSUN PLA+, tested and proven to hold up well.

Greetings and thanks from Romania, it behaves super ok and looks good, I also have a short video but it can't be uploaded here. Well done. Thank you! I would like to ask if these can be made or modified for the y 2025 model. Thank you

Thanks for the feedback! If you upload it to YouTube, you can link to the video.Unfortunately, I don't have a Photon rim, so I can't adapt it to that.

Sorry, I now see that I didn't write correctly or I was corrected. I wanted to ask if it is possible for the 2025 Tesla Model Y with 19" wheels. Will these fit, and will I need to print an extra one and cut it out to make up the difference?

I don't think it'll work, but we have to give it a try. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of rim, so I can't design for it.

I love this print. Can you design these rim protectors for the 19" cross flow wheels? (As shown in the picture.)

Bought it used and came with pretty bad scuffs. Before and after. Had to cut 4-5 mm off the last one. probably my print settings. Fits great and looks much better. Thanks!

It hasn't done it yet, but if he does, you'll have to print a new one. It won't do any harm if it flies away.

what I mean is that this is not permitted in Germany. the police would immediately impound the car I don't even want to imagine what would happen if the parts got stuck in the windshield of other road users on the autobahn

Has anyone had theirs come off at the highway or anything? It looks great, but I'm concerned about it coming off.

I’m constantly testing it, and so far, none of the prints made with ESUN PLA+ filament have fallen off. Even if they do fall off, they won’t cause any damage.

Great idea, I have another idea without the hubcap: Just the protection without the flat part that serves to clamp, much tighter and made of TPU? Could you adapt that for me and I'll test it ;-)
