UPDATE 03/2026

Updated the main Grip design (v8), with small adjustments to fit more types of locking mechanisms that will be released in the future.

DESCRIPTION

This is the revised version (V2) of my Modular Grip for softair guns. Just like my modular Suppressor and Muzzle, I designed a system that will lay the foundations for different grip shapes compatible with the same modular parts. This modularity allows:

  • quick configuration for personal requirement
  • easy adaptation with different standards
  • reuse of the same parts for different grip models

The modular parts are:

  • rail spacing (at the moment available for 4 and 5 mm rails)
  • screw and nut combination (at the moment available for M4 and M5 nuts)
  • plates compatibility (M-LOK and KeyMod)

To lock it on the rail, it requires an M5x32mm screw and nut (or, alternatively, an M4). The length should be between 30 and 35 mm.

General features and improvements over the previous version of the grip:

  • optimised print orientation for strong parts
  • space inside for batteries or small parts and screws
  • fuzzy skin sides customization
  • strong grip
  • thinner profile
  • compact modularity
  • different material compatibility (tested in PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA)

Here you can see the differences between V1 (left) and V2 (right):

PRINTING

Every part has been placed in the optimal orientation. Some parts require supports, others brims. You can customise the presence and the effect of the fuzzy skin on the sides of the grip in the slicer. The SEAL needs to be printed in TPU or another flexible material, but it is not essential to complete the grip, so you can skip it if you want.

WARNING: the Grip part has little contact surface, and it is prone to detach from the buildplate during printing; I suggest using GLUE or BRIM on the Texture plate, or using a grippier plate like Supertack.
