Supercar Gattiger - Left machine

Un modellino vintage per chi era bambino negli anni '80: la Supercar Gattiger in regalo con le patatine San Carlo.
In questo progetto sono incluse tutte le auto del cartone animato, realizzate seguendo lo stile dei modellini che si trovavano all'epoca nei sacchetti delle patatine.

Non ho più il modellino di questa versione del Gattiger da molti anni, quindi ho dovuto modellarlo basandomi esclusivamente sulle foto trovate in rete.
Il lavoro è stato svolto completamente a mano, senza l'ausilio di strumenti di intelligenza artificiale. Per questo motivo, i modelli non sono identici all'originale e i componenti non sono compatibili come pezzi di ricambio per i modellini d'epoca.
In ogni caso, ho realizzato ogni parte e i relativi accessori cercando di mantenere la massima fedeltà possibile al design originale.

Ho dedicato molta attenzione alla fase di design per assicurarmi che ogni pezzo fosse stampabile senza supporti, rendendo l'esperienza di stampa semplice e alla portata di tutti.

- Test di stampa: I modelli sono stati testati e gli incastri sono stati calibrati per funzionare esattamente come quelli dei pezzi originali.
- Supporti: Non sono necessari. Ho progettato ogni parte per essere facile e veloce da stampare senza supporti.
- Materiali: Ottimi risultati con il PLA. Probabilmente funzionano bene anche con PETG o ABS. Per le ruote si può valutare l'uso del TPU.
- Assemblaggio: La colla non è necessaria grazie agli incastri precisi, ma può essere usata in alcuni punti critici se riscontrate difficoltà.
- Scala: Poiché ho ricostruito i modelli partendo da materiale fotografico, non posso garantire una scala esatta rispetto agli originali d'epoca.

A vintage model for those who were children in the 80s: the Supercar Gattiger, originally given away with San Carlo chips in Italy. 
This project includes all the cars from the cartoon, designed following the style of the toy models found in chips bags at the time.

I haven't owned this version of the Gattiger for many years, so I had to model it based exclusively on photos found online. The work was done entirely by hand, without the use of artificial intelligence tools. For this reason, the models are not identical to the original ones and the components are not compatible as replacement parts for the vintage toys. In any case, I created every part and its accessories trying to maintain the highest possible fidelity to the original design.

I put a lot of focus on the design phase to ensure that every piece is printable without supports, making the printing experience simple and accessible to everyone.

- Print test: The models have been tested and the joints have been calibrated to work exactly like the original pieces.
- Supports: Not required. I designed every part to be quick and easy to print without supports.
- Materials: Great results with PLA. They likely work well with PETG or ABS too. For the wheels, you might consider using TPU.
- Assembly: Glue is not necessary thanks to the precise interlocking parts, but it can be used in some critical spots if you encounter any difficulties.
- Scale: Since I reconstructed the models from photographic material, I cannot guarantee a exact scale compared to the original vintage pieces.

Indicazioni per la stampa:
Per la carrozzeria e il parabrezza usare il profilo 0.12 per minimizzare i layer.
Per tutti gli altri pezzi, comprese le ruote, è possibile usare il profilo 0.2 per velocizzare la stampa.
Va tenuto presente che il filamento usato e il cambiamento di altezza layer potrebbero alterare la precisione degli incastri.
I perni sono pezzi di un filamento qualunque.
La parte d'appoggio degli assali va tagliata per far entrare le ruote.
Gli assali sono uguali, ne vanno stampati 2.
Le ruote sono tutte uguali, ne servono almeno 4, un paio di riserva possono tornare utili.
I modellini per completare il Gattiger sono 5, quindi servono almeno 20 ruote.

Printing instructions:
For the body and the windshield use the 0.12 profile to minimize layers.
For all the other pieces, wheels included, it is possible to use the 0.2 profile to speed up the printing.
It should be kept in mind that the filament used and the change in layer height could alter the precision of the joints.
The pins are pieces of any filament.
The support part of the axles must be cut to let the wheels in.
The axles are equal, 2 must be printed.
The wheels are all equal, at least 4 are needed, a couple of spares can be useful.
The models to complete the Gattiger are 5, so at least 20 wheels are needed.
