WisMesh 1W Repeater Outdoor

Checkout my enclosure and accessory collection for RAKwireless WisBlock, WisMesh Meshtastic and MeshCore devices ==> RAKwireless Origins.
All my models come with STEP files and Fusion 360 project files for customization.

This is a variant of the RAKwireless Outdoor Enclosure for WisBlock enclosure, adapted for the WisMesh 1W Booster Starter Kit.

The main changes are

• more space for a larger battery
• holes on the mounting plate for mounting a small external charger or MPPT charge controller inside the enclosure
• larger holes for the antenna and solar panel cables (for the people with “fat” fingers)
• beside of openings for the cable from the solar panel it is prepared for an M8 connector for a larger solar panel

The mounting plate has enough space for a WaveShare Solar Power manager D and a battery pack with the size of up to 3 x 18650 batteries.

If such an additional charger electronics is used, the best solution is too choose one with a 5V output and supply the WisMesh 1W Booster directly to the 5V external supply connector on the RAk13302 LoRa 1W transceiver.

If such an external battery management and charger board is used, the board will not be able to report the actual battery status.

In my use case, I just use the charger of the WisBlock Base Board and connect both battery and solar panel there.
