Description

This is a modular, scalable filament storage rack system designed to turn any standard closet rod into a high-capacity filament storage unit.

The system uses a 1 inch hardwood dowel as the load-bearing shaft and a set of identical printed rack supports that clip over a closet rod. With just two printed parts, you can create a rack capable of holding up to 25 filament spools. By adding additional duplicate center supports, the system scales to virtually unlimited length.

This is not a simple hanger. It is an adjustable rack architecture that solves multiple problems at once:

Uses existing closet infrastructure

Scales without redesigning or reprinting unique parts

Supports heavy filament loads safely

Keeps spools accessible, visible, and organized

The design is print-in-place, requires no supports, and prints as a single solid part. It has been extensively tested in real-world filament storage setups.

This is a novel system design developed by Silent Cartography, created to address storage use cases not solved by traditional wall-mounted racks or single-spool hangers.

NOTE: Tolerances are tight and wood changes. If your in a humid environment you may want to go upscale a Percent
