Bunk Bed Organizer / Phone Holder (Slide-On)
A functional, support-free storage box designed to slide perfectly onto the horizontal side rails of a bunk bed. Perfect for keeping your phone, glasses, earbuds, or charging cables safe and within reach while you sleep.
Features
- Slide-On Installation: Features two inverted U-hooks on the back. Simply slide it down over your bed rails—no screws, snaps, or tools required!
- Support-Free Design: The filament-saving cutouts on the front and sides are diamond-shaped (45-degree angles), meaning they print beautifully without any supports.
- Solid Bottom Cup: The bottom 20mm of the box is solid, ensuring smaller items like coins or earbuds won't slip out.
- Extended Back Plate: The back of the box extends the full length of the hooks to rest flat against the metal tubes, preventing the box from swinging or tilting inward.
Dimensions & Fit
- Tube Compatibility: Designed for 20mm diameter horizontal metal tubes.
- Tube Spacing: Fits tubes with a 68mm gap between them (88mm center-to-center).
- Box Size: 100mm (W) x 40mm (D) x 128mm (H) — plenty of room for a large smartphone with a case.
Print Settings - Supports: None required! Print it standing upright.
- Infill: 15% Gyroid or Grid is plenty.
- Walls: 3 perimeters (1.2mm) recommended for strength.
- Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS will all work great.
Note: If your bed has different tube dimensions, the included source file is fully parameterized. You can easily adjust tube_diam and tube_gap at the top of the file to fit your specific bed!
