Description

Unpredictable Ping Pong Ball

This looks like a standard ping pong ball, but it definitely doesn't act like one. I designed this to have an offset internal weight, making the bounce unpredictable. (I’m an average player, and I haven't been able to manage more than two consecutive hits with this thing.) It’s perfect for messing with your friends during a match. Especially when you secretly exchange the ball mid-game.

The Details

  • Appearance: Looks really similar to a regular ball once printed. (Although you can see the weight in an unfavorable light setting ):  )
  • Sound: Depending on which side it hits, the acoustic feedback changes slightly because of the internal structure. The used filament seems to change the sound drastically!
  • Durability: Tested with PLA+ White from ESUN. It’s surprisingly sturdy and can take a beating without cracking immediately.
  • Filament: We used, as mentioned, PLA+ but PETG will also work. Maybe also standard PLA. Matte PLA does not work.

Edit: As some of you pointed out, this also is a great cat toy.
