Information about the Model:
The stadium in Nice on the Côte d’Azur is famous for its ecological construction and its flowing, organic forms.
- The Wood-Steel Construction: The absolutely unique feature for your 3D model is the supporting structure. The Allianz Riviera is one of the few stadiums worldwide whose structure is largely made of glued laminated timber combined with steel. This gives the stadium an almost skeletal, delicate appearance.
- Transparent Shell: The stadium is covered with a membrane that lets in a lot of daylight. The design is conceived to use the wind for natural ventilation of the pitch and stands.
- Solar Stadium: On the roof there are over 4,000 solar modules, making the stadium one of the most energy-efficient in Europe.
- Musee National du Sport: The National Sports Museum of France is housed within the stadium complex, making it a cultural center for the entire country.
- The Eagle Symbolism: Since Nice's mascot is an eagle (L'Aiglon), the stadium is often flown over by a real eagle before games – the atmosphere in the stadium among the "Red-Blacks" is extremely passionate.
