Description

I designed this wall mount for my Kobra 3 Max. I do not like adding 4kg's worth of weight to the top of any printer, but especially one that may potentially be moving 4kgs worth of filament on a bed. The top makes VFA worse IMO, so I went with this option.

This mount has ran at max temp for hours using PLA+, but PETG is provided. I suggest using  0.6mm nozzle with 0.24 layers to shorten print time.

I enlarged the mounting holes more in the final draft, as it allows a bigger drill extension to go in, you will probably need one to mount this. Please keep in mind to not over tighten the screws and crush the plastic.

2 legs instead of a shelf like design to both save on filament and to avoid the hot zone on the bottom. There is enough room to clear the back ptfe  tubes, and it opens fully coming to a rest on the wall. I also put two cutouts on the top to have spot for the rubber feet to sit in, instead of just relying on them to grip the surface. I did enhance surface texture as an additional precaution.

You will need to adjust ptfe tube length, and deal with cable management, but I am working on a cable chain for the single wire that this setup leaves you with.

I am not responsible for any damage that may occur to your Ace Pro system from accidents, improper printing or handling, and general acts of god. You should know how to find a stud and hang things when doing this, drywall anchors are probably not a good idea, your call. Also, make sure to seal any desiccant pods to avoid it exploding all over the room, ask me how I know…
