update 20\04\2026

added thread for 1.5 lt natural water bottle with internal holes that ensure a greater water supply

update 16/04\2026

second version now available with significant improvements

25 mm central hole with improved pads and greater printability

(printed at 50% of the v2 size the 6 safety floats are not needed. The central hole at 50% is about 12.4. If you decide to print the floats, resize them to 50% as well and change layer height to 0.08 )

this model is designed to help bees during the summer period you can fill the pads with water, and water and sugar (never with honey, it can be dangerous)

Update !

Version 1 does not meet my print quality standards, I decided to make it invisible until I resolve the issues encountered

hello everyone

I would like to share this idea of mine with you

print it to the size you want, hang it or attach it to a handle

this model is designed to help bees during the summer period you can fill the pads with water, and water and sugar (never with honey, it can be dangerous)

curious to know your impression and there will certainly be other models

I printed the v3 model, but unfortunately found an error in the files. The holes that are supposed to guide the water from the bottle holder to the trough are closed on the inside. From about layer 52 - 66, the bottom for the bottle area is also incorporated into the holes. This naturally defeats the purpose of the whole construction :-( Otherwise, the whole part printed well - apart from this, unfortunately massive error :-( Too bad - maybe this error can still be repaired here? Because my wife would be very happy about this part, as a bee lover :)

Hello thank you very much for your review! I am absolutely sorry about that! I am working to improve the project, I apologize and I am trying to understand the cause! May I ask you, only if you can answer and to understand the problem, if you printed it in the original dimensions, with the top cover open? PETG is very sticky, printing takes a long time and with the top cover closed it tends to expand into empty spaces, in this case into the drain channels. I will perform further checks and I deeply apologize

Hi, I printed the model in its original size. As you can see in the attached image, the holes are closed by the design itself. It seems, that the bottom of the bottle-hole does also fill the small holes where the water should go through. I made another screenshot from the slicer - I should have recognized this, before starting the print - but I was a bit in a hurry ^^

control check thanks a lot! today I'll try to solve it! The print without holes is a version 2 so usable with the water and sugar pads! today I'll improve the file!

The print was great and without problems. Unfortunately, no German bottles fit in. I will have to refill it myself every time 😉

the model printed easily. I wish you could make one with a 6" or 10" diameter though for my needs. But will put a few of these around my garden.

Thank you very much for the great file and the quick implementation to create an adapter for the bottles in Germany. Fits perfectly. Best regards

Missing Model Parts:The print ran without problems, but the printed part looks completely different than described. The deep holes with the water catch basins are completely missing. So it is of course somewhat useless as a bee drinker. The thread on the underside is also a bit unsightly and needs to be reworked.

hello! thank you very much for your review! the hole is not a thread it's a simple hole! I notice many imperfections on the print, I would like to know if you printed with the chamber closed (petg hf and normal petg require the removal of the top cover) and if the petg was very dry before printing! the platforms are shallow on purpose, they quickly run out of water and sugar and do not drown the bees, which unfortunately cannot swim. I am very sorry but as you can see others have found it good however I will improve and do my best the main platforms came out well the others were more decorative than anything else give the model a chance and you'll see it will surprise you, please do not put honey it is very dangerous thank you again

But explain to me why you don't take honey, what's dangerous about it, I have bees myself, but I'm looking forward to your answer..

hello ! thank you for the message, I think there was a translation error! it is dangerous to give honey as food to bees. the best thing for bees is either water and sugar, or water and possibly candy...

honey from a different hive can contain stuff like bacterial and infections that can affect bees from other hives, it's not very likely but it can have a negative affect! if you have bees and you don't know that, who has taught you the beekeeping? it's better to just mix some sugar and water instead of risking using honey! it's actually best just putting water out because sugar etc will attract wasps!

hello , if I can give you a piece of advice print it small , with a 0.4 nozzle and a very low layer height like 0.12 , and you evaluate how to do it for your preferences

hello I created the version for 25 mm pole if you want it small with 50% reduction on bambu studio you just need a 12.5 peg

The model in the photo had functional problems, so I created V2 and V3 which are much more reliable and very similar, I am working on version 5, I will publish it in a week, it will be much more similar to the original version but with fewer printing problems! thank you very much
