Description
This parametric round sieve / filter plate can be easily adapted to your needs.
Through the parameters, you can adjust diameter, hole size, hole spacing, and optionally a rim.
The model generates a uniform grid of square openings. Openings that would be too close to the edge are automatically removed. This keeps the rim stable and allows the model to be printed cleanly.
The sieve can be used for many applications, for example:
- Drainage insert for flower pots
- Filter for aquariums or pumps
- Kitchen sieve or draining plate
- Protective grill with air passage
- General DIY and workshop projects
The model is designed so that it can be printed without support structures.
Customizable Parameters
- Diameter – Total diameter of the sieve
- Plate height – Thickness of the perforated sieve plate
- Rim height – Height of the outer rim (0 = flat plate)
- Rim thickness – Thickness of the rim
- Hole size – Size of the square openings
- Hole spacing – Distance between the openings
Printing Notes
- No support structures needed
- Print flat on the build plate
- PLA, PETG, or ABS work well
- For more stability, the Plate height can be increased
Note
The hole pattern is automatically centered. Openings near the edge are adjusted so that no untidy half-holes are created and the sieve remains stable.
