D8x2 mm Round Magnet (20PCS) - CA005

Description

Familiarising myself with more CAD software I've been playing around with TinkerCAD a bit recently.

Some background on this print; I work as a nurse, and in the hospital I work in, the main station has a magnetic marker board used for organising patient names and various other bits of information. We often handwrite any concerns or particular risks but I decided to try my hand at designing some custom magnets for the common things we might want the team to be up to date with!

This particular model is for a patient who might classify as higher risk of VTE. This is one in a series as below :

The profile uses 8x2mm magnet disks and after some tolerance prototyping I've found that the magnets press fit in without any adhesive needed. Your mileage may vary of course, so feel free to use your preferred adhesive if required. It's worth noting that they require a firm push to get the magnets into the recesses but, once in, I found it near impossible to get out! (Hint, make sure your magnet faces the right way before pressing in!!)

I found that partially pressing it in by hand, and then given the whole thing a very firm push against a flat hard object (a wall… I used a wall…) then everything went together quite snugly.

Once the models are all finalised I plan to refine the design slightly where required to try and reduce some of the colour bleed etc but for now they're fit for (my) purpose. For each of the models in the series I'll be publishing a single item profile and multiple item profile, obviously this can also be easily changed in Studio/Handy to your requirements!

Please note, The above will largely be copied and pasted for each item in the series, I assure you I'm human and not a copy and paste bot :P

Boosts are 100% appreciated! If you've liked this model please consider a boost in support :)
