Lotso was originally Daisy's toy. After being accidentally abandoned, he tried to return home but failed, finding himself replaced by a new toy. He then came to Sunnyside Daycare with Big Baby and Chuckles, where he established a hierarchy and became the de facto ruler of the toys there, managing other abandoned toys with harsh methods.
