3x35 mm Stainless Steel Dowel Pins (5PCS) - DA023

Description

This card box is designed for UNO cards up to 56,5 × 87,5 mm, with a maximum deck height of 34 mm. The cards are securely held in place by a locking lid while remaining easy to access.

The lid uses a 3 × 35 mm dowel pin, which should be carefully press-fitted or gently tapped in with a hammer. Filaments with poor layer adhesion may split during assembly, so caution is advised. PLA Basic has been tested successfully.

The latch is inserted into the slot in the lid. Depending on print quality, a small amount of sanding may be needed for a smooth fit.
Because the pin is slightly shorter than the width of the lid, it should be pressed in from the center using a smaller pin or a screw. This prevents it from sticking out on one side. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect functionality.

very good print. going to use it a lot! I would’ve put 5 stars but the lock is very fiddly and comes off easily. if you fixed that, this would be 5 stars. great print though!

In my first prototypes of the lock, it was very hard to press in and there was a risk of breaking the small part. Because of that and because of varying tolerances, I made it a bit looser. But of course, it should not come off while using the part. Maybe you can fix it with some glue, or by melting a piece of filament and putting a small amount of molten plastic between the lid and the lock. I’ll take another look at the mechanism and maybe find a better solution for a new lid version.

Loved this, can you help me to make it a bit bigger? I have 3 stacks of cards for UNO No mercy, and want to print it? Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply! Deck height of 56mm instead of your 34mm

I added it to the download section, but I can’t guarantee that it will look good since it is very wide.

nice fits so snug only thing I would say is make the hinge smaller so you can use filament to do the hinge

It’s a good idea overall, but I think it may be difficult to achieve the right tolerances for the hinge to work properly. However, I might be able to add a 3D-printed pin that can replace the steel one.

yes because I used 1 bit of filament and I halved a second bit of filament and it worked perfect
