Description

WELCOME

Welcome to another model found Exclusively here on Maker World.  I'm not a professional full-time print farm or print designer.  I have a day job and do this for the love of doing it.  Please LIKE, COLLECT, and FOLLOW to see more of my work as it becomes available.

MODEL INFORMATION

his model is for use with the Pcub3D - BYOC Modular Mounting System (BYOC System).

This one took Kilograms to develop, not to mention to dominate the dining room table.  I am slowly pushing my wife's puzzle off of it.  This is a plate elevator system built around the common connection system found here on MakerWorld.  It will work with BYOC plates and obstacles as well as plates from other designers.  In the photos you'll see other pieces such as Cheater Ramps and Hex terrain which can be found in my RC and BYOC collections.  The core to this system is the HEX Risers, Double sided pins, ramp connectors, and modified BYOC plates.  This is REALLY functional with 30 scale as you can play underneath the riser plates, but an micro crawler scale that used the flat plate can now attack them from a whole new angle.

BYOC Plates

These will lock together normally AND you can run a double sided pin down from the top to lock into the Hex Riser below as well as the one going up.  If you are at your top level, put a regular pin in upside down.

Regular Plates

These will lock together normally and rest on top of the risers (top level only).

Ramps

There are 3 different connectors.  One use for the very top of every level.  One used for the very bottom and one used as the bottom connector for all the level above ground.  You can tell the difference as the elevated bottom support prints up and has ridges on it for traction during the transition from one plate to another.

Hex Risers

I reinforced the bottoms and Lightning infilled the rest.  The hole goes from top to bottom to act as a rebar type of structural support.  I've run a HEAVY 18 scale up this and it handled the weight no problem.  Using BYOC plates and double sided pins help lock things together.  If you are running 18 and 24 scales and not using the space underneath and between levels, I created some hollowed out plates to save filament but maintain structural integrity.

Look at the new Scaffold Risers that work with this system found here.  Cleaner look, less filament.  SCAFFOLD RISERS

Pins

You will use both regular and double-side pins….a bunch of them.

Everything you see printed here was using Bambu matte/basic, Overture Rock PLA (transitions), and Sunlu PLA + 2.0 on (2) P1S's and a A1 printer.

This is a new supplementary system to the common MakerWorld Crawler Course/Park plates out there.  This system solves the storage issue of big bulky plates and saves a ton of money because you only have to print the number of BYOC plates you want once and then you can put whatever obstacles you want onto your plate and change it as many times as your want.  Best of all it is FULLY COMPATIBLE with the common connection system found on MakerWorld that are supported by many other course designers.  This system is meant to supplement your course building…NOT change it.  You can orientate most obstacles in 8 different directions and can even mount across plate joints.  NO MORE wasted crawling space!

To use this terrain obstacle you will need to print a BYOC Base Plate and screw in Pins found HERE.
