Fortify your battlefield!
Whether you're defending the trenches of war or protecting your troops from laser fire in a distant galaxy – this sandbag bunker is the perfect addition to any tabletop terrain.
Why this model?
- High level of detail: The texture of the individual bags and the reinforced wooden supports at the base create a realistic look after painting (dry brushing works wonders here!).
- Flat-Base Design: The underside has been designed to be absolutely flat, so that the positions lie seamlessly on your game mat or terrain.
- Scale: Optimized for the classic 28mm to 32mm scale, but can be adapted as desired using the “scale” function in the slicer.
Print settings:
- Material: PLA (Grey is excellent as a base color).
- Layer height: 0.10 mm for maximum detail or 0.2 mm for a quick print.
- Infill: 10-15% is completely sufficient.
I printed it with a 0.4 mm nozzle. I think 0.2 would increase the level of detail even further. You could also consider an SLA print!
Painting tip: Simply prime grey, apply a dark "wash" (e.g., Agrax Earthshade), and then dry brush with a light beige or grey. This will bring out the texture of the bags perfectly!
