Description

The DJI O4 Air Unit delivers amazing video quality, but on tinywhoops it often suffers from jello and vibration issues due to the very high frequency vibrations produced by small high-KV motors and lightweight frames. Finding a reliable way to isolate the camera without adding weight or complexity has always been a challenge.

This simple 3D-printed vibration damper mount is designed specifically to solve that problem.

The design isolates the O4 Air Unit from the frame using a lightweight flexible mounting structure, reducing high-frequency vibrations that normally transfer directly to the camera. The result is cleaner footage and 100% removed jello, even on very small builds.

The goal was to create a solution that is:

  • Simple
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to print
  • Easy to install

No complicated hardware, no heavy TPU blocks, and no complex assemblies.

Features

  • Designed specifically for tinywhoop builds
  • Helps reduce jello and vibration in DJI O4 footage
  • Ultra lightweight design

Printing & Installation

For best vibration damping performance, print the part in TPU 95A.

The mount is designed to be secured using two screws:

  • Top screw: connects the mount to the DJI O4 Air Unit board
  • Bottom screw: connects the mount to the flight controller

This simple two-point mounting system allows the TPU structure to absorb and isolate high-frequency vibrations, helping reduce jello in the footage while keeping the setup lightweight and compact.

I hope you enjoy this design and that it helps improve your tinywhoop footage with the DJI O4 Air Unit.

If you try it on your build, I’d love to hear your feedback and see how it works for you. Feel free to share your results, improvements, or any ideas for future iterations.

Happy flying and happy printing! 🚁
