The Frame Remix: Better Fit & Features

Remix of WouterZ's "The Frame"

First off, a huge thanks to WouterZ for the original design—it's fantastic and makes using the iPad for digital art so much better!

After printing the original, I knew I couldn't live without it but found a few issues that were bugging me. I decided to fix those issues and add a couple of extra features to make it even more functional.

⚠️ Important Note on Files: This profile only includes the files I specifically modified. To complete your build, you will need to download the remaining standard files directly from WouterZ's original page.

🛠️ What's New & Improved in this Remix:

• Tighter Fit: Minimized the gaps around the iPad so it doesn't shift around while drawing.  Doesn't hold it tight - just less sliding around.
• Camera Alignment: Enlarged the opening for the camera bump to ensure it lines up perfectly every time.
• Better Pen Slot: Enlarged the Apple Pencil slot so the pen fits properly regardless of which way the tip is facing.
• Easy Pen Access: Added an extra finger cutout so you can easily grab and remove the pen.
• Macro Pad Mounts: Added two built-in recesses designed for Velcro or Command strips, perfect for mounting a macro pad like the 8BitDo Micro. (Note: I've also included file versions without these recesses if you don't need them!)

• Printer: Bambu H2D
• Filament: Bambu PETG-HF
• Supports: I used Matte PLA as a support interface material to get clean results on the Velcro/Command strip recesses.

Using the iPad with The Frame is a game-changer. Thanks again to WouterZ for sharing the original design!
