Bill of Materials
Description
A case for a generic 7-inch display for the Raspberry Pi (example module: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005006739026067.html).
The Raspberry Pi is mounted on the back of the display, and the Pi enclosure is designed for a Raspberry Pi 5.
The display housing allows different mounting brackets to be attached on the back.
Included options:
- Shelf mount – tested on a 20 mm board/shelf
- Desk stand – designed but not tested - tell me if it works for you
- Wall mount – Contains two print plates (with/without notch for exactly one USB cable for example a NFC Reader)
The Raspberry Pi case is mounted using M3 heat-set inserts, although it should also be possible to screw directly into the plastic.
Additional hardware details:
- Raspberry Pi case lid: screwed directly into the plastic using M3 screws
- Mounting brackets / display housing: M2.5 screws
Note: A user pointed out that the cable for powering the display isn't necessary, since the display has contacts on the bottom. If that doesn't work with your display, the standard cable can't be used, as it's too tall/high. In my case (see picture), I therefore attached a new connector.
