šµ Succulent Fruit Fly Trap
Iāve had this idea in mind for a long time, and Iām really happy to finally bring it to life.
This is honestly my masterpiece among all the fruit fly traps Iāve designed.
Itās a decorative and functional trap designed to look like a small succulent plant, making it both useful and beautiful on your kitchen counter.
The model is made of three parts:
- The plant
- The pot
- A small funnel that attaches under the plant
To make it even better, I designed 3 different plant styles and 3 different pot designs, so you can mix and match them to suit your taste and your interior.
It looks great in any kitchen and also makes a perfect gift.
Letās be honest ā everyone eventually deals with fruit fly invasions, and this trap offers a simple and elegant solution.
šØļø Printing
The print profile has been optimized to minimize the risk of leaks as much as possible.
However, leaks can still happen in some cases.
During my tests I had no leaks at all, but every printer and filament behaves differently.
For best results:
- Use dry filament
- Print using my provided print profiles without modifications
ā Prints great in PLA
ā No supports needed
šŖ° How to use
Simply fill the trap with something fruit flies love:
- Wine
- Beer
- Vinegar (diluted about 1/3 is enough)
You can also add one drop of dish soap to make it even more effective.
Fruit flies will:
- Enter through the small hole in the center of the plant
- Pass through the funnel
- Fall into the liquid and drown
ā ļø Do not fill above the "MAX" line inside the trap.
