Description
WWII Bomber Tail Squadron Desk Displays
This set features six WWII bomber tail display stands, inspired by the distinctive markings used by various B-17 Flying Fortress bomb groups and squadrons during the Second World War.
Each display represents a different tail pattern style, including several of the geometric, color-blocked, and checkered markings commonly seen across Eighth Air Force bomber groups. I intentionally selected a variety of tail styles so the designs can represent a wide range of different bomber groups and squadrons.
These are designed as small desk displays that make great conversation pieces for aviation enthusiasts, historians, veterans, modelers, and anyone who appreciates the legacy of the bomber crews who flew these aircraft.
Customizable Markings
One of the best parts of this model is that the text can easily be customized.
Using Bambu Studio (or most other slicers) you can simply edit the text on the models to represent any aircraft you want.
You can modify:
• Aircraft tail codes
• Serial numbers
Bomb group / squadron designations on the base
This allows you to create displays for:
• specific historic aircraft
• family members who served
• particular bomber groups
• museum displays or classroom use
• your own favorite aircraft markings
Included Tail Styles
This set includes six different tail patterns designed to resemble common bomber group marking styles used on B-17 aircraft. The colors and shapes were selected so they can easily represent many different units simply by changing the lettering and serial numbers.
At the moment I am focusing on B-17 bombers, but if there are specific bomber groups or tail markings you'd like to see added, please let me know and I’d be happy to expand the set.
Printing Notes
• Designed for multi-color printing
• Works great with AMS / multi-material systems
• Can also be printed in single color if desired
• Text can be modified directly in Bambu Studio or other slicers
