# Pioneer TS-G1710F TPU speaker baffle for MakerWorld

This package contains a **parametric OpenSCAD design** for a flexible TPU back-cup / baffle sized for the **Pioneer TS-G1710F 17 cm (6.5") speaker** discussed in chat.

## What it is
A printable TPU alternative to a foam/silicone speaker baffle for mounting behind the speaker in a tractor roof liner or other thin panel. It is designed to:
- reduce back-wave leakage
- improve mid-bass
- reduce buzzing/rattling from thin trim panels
- provide a MakerWorld-friendly customizable `.scad`

## Default dimensions used
- Speaker cutout: **145 mm**
- Front flange OD: **186 mm**
- Mount hole circle: **158 mm**
- Mount holes: **4 x 5.2 mm**
- Cup depth: **58 mm**
- Rear diameter: **116 mm**
- Wall thickness: **2.4 mm**

These are a best-fit starting point for TS-G1710F. Before printing the final part, do a paper or low-quality draft fit check against your actual roof panel and speaker basket.

## Recommended print settings
- Material: **TPU 95A**
- Nozzle: **0.4 mm**
- Layer height: **0.24-0.28 mm**
- Walls: **4-5 perimeters**
- Top/bottom: **4-5**
- Infill: **8-15% gyroid** or similar
- Orientation: **print flange-down**
- Supports: **off** in most slicers

## Practical install notes
- Add a thin EPDM foam tape ring between panel and flange for the best seal.
- Do not fully crush the TPU with screws; tighten only enough to seal.
- If the cup is too deep, use the external trim grooves as cut guides.
- For very wet/dusty environments, you can set a small rear drain slot in OpenSCAD.
- If your speaker screw pattern differs, only change `mount_hole_circle`, `mount_hole_count`, and `mount_hole_diameter`.
