I am thrilled to bring the historic Taksim Nostalgic Tram, one of Istanbul's most iconic symbols that runs through the heart of Istiklal Avenue, into the 3D printing world. This model has been meticulously designed, with every detail reflecting the vintage spirit of Istiklal Avenue and the tram's unique character.
It is a fantastic collectible for nostalgia enthusiasts, lovers of Istanbul, and dedicated scale model makers. With its iconic red and white colors, it will definitely be a standout piece in your display cabinet or on your desk.
Model Specifications:
- Dimensions: 140mm x 140mm x 95.37mm (An ideal size for the build plate).
- Volume: ~114,809 mm³.
- Triangles: 51,112 (Optimized for a highly detailed surface).
- Design: A highly accurate replica of the iconic historic Taksim-Tünel tram line.
Printing Recommendations:
- Layer Height: For capturing the best details, a 0.16mm layer height (as shown in the slicer image) or finer is highly recommended.
- Supports: Supports are required for certain overhangs, especially for the roof details and the pantograph mechanism. (Note: The tall block seen next to the model in the slicer screenshot is a prime/wipe tower for multi-color printing. If you are printing in a single color, you will not need this tower.)
- Colors: To achieve the model's iconic look, using a multi-color printing system (like AMS) with red, white, black, and grey filaments, or painting a single-color print afterward, will yield the best results.
- Build Plate: A Smooth PEI Plate is ideal for a perfectly smooth bottom surface.
