Tired of flimsy clips that don't fit? This Simple Classic C-Clip is a fully parametric, print-in-place tool designed for maximum utility and durability. Whether you need to seal a massive bag of snacks, organize thick power cables, or bundle small hobby supplies, this model scales to fit your exact needs perfectly.
Based on the iconic "chip clip" design, this version is optimized for zero-support printing and features a robust, solid hinge that provides reliable spring tension without the "eye" holes found in weaker designs.
🛠️ Customization Guide
This model is fully parametric in OpenSCAD. You can adjust:
- Clip Width: Control how much of a "grip" you have (e.g., 60mm for large bags, 20mm for cables).
- Clip Depth: Change the reach of the arms to fit different bundle sizes.
- Jaw Gap: Set the opening height to fit everything from thin plastic film to thick rubber cords.
- Grip Teeth: Customize the number and height of the triangular ridges for an extra-secure hold.
- Wall Thickness: Dial in the flexibility and strength of the "spring" back.
🖨️ Printing Recommendations
- Orientation: This model is designed to be printed on its side. No supports are required!
- Material: PLA works great for everyday use. For higher spring tension or heat resistance (near chargers), PETG is recommended.
- Layer Height: 0.2mm is perfect.
- Infill: 15-20% (use more walls for a stronger spring effect).
- Walls: At least 3 wall loops to ensure the hinge doesn't snap.
