Description

Barnett Explorer XP400 CCD Hook Mount – Replacement/Upgrade

The stock CCD hook mount on the Explorer XP400 is known to break under tension; mine snapped on the very first day. To address this issue, I created a 1:1 replica from scratch, and since then, I haven't encountered any problems.

This part serves as a direct replacement for the original mount. It reuses the existing heat insert from the broken component, meaning you won't need any additional hardware beyond what you already have. The redesign rectifies the original mount's weak point by being printed with 100% infill, which provides significantly greater resistance to the tension forces that typically cause the stock part to fail.

Fitment is confirmed for the Barnett Explorer XP400. Compatibility with other Barnett models has not been verified, so please measure your original part against the model dimensions before printing.

Recommended Print Settings
-Layer Height: 0.2mm
-Infill: 100%
-Support: Tree (Auto)

Print this mount flat on the build plate for maximum lateral strength—orientation is crucial in this case.
