The model is based on the Camarasaurus skull displayed in the dinosaur gallery at the Natural History Museum in London, capturing the distinctive boxy shape and large openings that give this dinosaur its name (“camera” meaning chamber).

At 180 mm long, this model is approximately 30% scale of a full-sized Camarasaurus skull, making it a great display size while still being easy to print on smaller printers.

Camarasaurus was a large Jurassic sauropod dinosaur that lived around 150 million years ago in what is now North America. Unlike many long-necked dinosaurs, it had a relatively short, deep skull with large openings, which helped reduce weight while still supporting powerful jaws for eating vegetation.
