Chain Coupling Link – Heavy Duty Connector
 

This Chain Coupling Link is a connector designed to securely join two chains or ropes, creating a strong and reliable connection for tension or towing applications. The model was developed with load-bearing use in mind.

The main version uses an H6 Allen key for assembly.

I have also included a miniature 8 mm version (H2 Allen key) for simpler applications. Despite its smaller size, it was able to tow a vehicle with another one when printed in PET-GF. You can check the video demonstration.

Recommended Materials

For best performance and strength:

• PET-CF / PET-GF
• PETG
• Nylon / PA
• ASA

Avoid using PLA for high load applications.

I’m loving all these GF filaments, I’m going to have to print this, maybe in some ABS-GF. I thing the GF filaments look the best, have that matte/semigloss finish while maintaining bright colors. how’s it standing up to testing?

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES try and tow or pull significant weight with this . This is a novelty as listed above . Very serious risk and or death happen yearly from things just like this .

I saw it . But it dosn't impart the severity of what can happen . The disclaimer protects you , but not the people who might be maimed or killed . A simple google search and youll.figjre out why this is such a danger.

This is absolutely the most ridiculous print I've seen in awhile. Having the picture showing it connected to a car is asinine.

so were all smart enough to know not to use this in the way depicted in the first picture right? like theres no reason for me to have to type this out to save a life I know where all super smart and all but uhhhh.... just in case...

lol, in all seriousness though, how much weight, static load, has this actually been able to take? what about dynamic weight handling? also what about shock load? I’m curious, it seems like it could handle more than I’m thinking. but a car? I mean maybe if no shock and very little dynamic load is applied, get to a static position and with one of the engineering high strength filaments, like PAHT-CF? maybe ABS-GF could handle it. dangerous to play around with though if you don’t know how to be safe about it. I mean did you actually pull a car with this thing? if so that’s wild and cool👌🤯

The one tested in the video was printed in ABS-GF, PET-CF and PET-GF, and it actually held up pulling a car haha, but yes, that was with 100% infill. The winner: PET-GF
