Description

To successfully print technical filaments like ABS and ASA, the print chamber needs to reach temperatures of around 60°C, which the P2S printer cannot achieve because it lacks active heating.

This project creates a P2S printer's chamber heater using a Creality Box filament dryer.

It recirculates and heats the air coming out of the exhaust grill and reintroduces it into the printer through the poop chute.

As you can see from the display photo, the chamber temperature reached after about an hour of heating is 52°C, with the printer inactive and the hotend turned off, only activating the heated bed at 100°C.

The heater/recirculator has the added benefit of sealing the printer, reducing the smell and toxic fumes of technical filaments like ABS and ASA.

It is magnetically attached to the printer, requiring 8x3mm round magnets.
