Description

Bring sci-fi style to life with this 3D printed exoskeleton hand model, designed as a wearable hand armor piece with fully flexible finger joints and a bendable palm structure for a more natural fit and movement.

Each finger is connector to the palm through a M2.5 x 6 screw. The imbedded joints are printed with TPU jointly with PLA for that can flex smoothly up to 90 degrees, giving the model a dynamic mechanical look while still allowing comfortable articulation. The finger is modulized and can be upgraded with different designs. ( I will release more finger designes if there are interets.)

Five M2.5 x 6 screws are needed to connector five fingers to the palm section. Each finger has two holes for adjust the lenght of the finger. It is suggested to leave the middle finger longer for better fitting. A TPU strap is also provided to secure your palm.

Hand Armor Size Guide

Measure your palm width across the knuckles (excluding the thumb) as shown in the image above. This measurement is used to determine the best size for the hand armor.

To help you find the correct fit, a sizing test model is included. Print the test piece first to check which size fits your hand comfortably before printing the full armor.

Important Notes

  • If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the nearest larger size and downscale slightly if needed. This helps ensure the screw holes remain tight and secure.
  • Do not upscale the model, as enlarging it may cause the screw holes to become loose, resulting in poor assembly.
  • Sizes smaller than the Small version have not been tested for the TPU + PLA interlocking joint strength. Reducing the scale too much may weaken the connection because fewer material layers are present.

For best results, use the included sizing test model in the hand armor file to confirm the correct size before printing the full hand armor.

2026.03.15 Update Forearm bracer part has been added to the model

For the forearm bracer part, a size ring is included in a second plate for fitting reference in Bambu Studio. Adjust X and Y scale to change the opening size so the hand can pass through comfortably. Adjust Z for the first plate model then to change the forearm length. The default Z length is 24 cm. For best fit, do not scale uniformly — scale each direction separately based on your arm size.

No TPU required for the Bracer! You can use PLA for the blue decoration part. The TPU is only needed for the hand armor part.
