Great print. Had to extend it a little for my broom but works great.

Old Hockey Stick Broom Adapter
perfect way to up-cycle my broken stick and my broken broom! thanks for sharing. isn't a perfect press-fit and the threads were a bit loose in my broom so I added some glue.

Repair that old broom stick
printed fine with PETG and is likely strong enough for light use but not for a shop broom :( first iteration broke trying to screw it in. I changed to 100% infill in the threaded portion and into the bit that the stick fits into but it still broke. i may try one last time printing it on its side thanks for the model!

There is a modifier that someone else created that forces a grain pattern as if the project was made out of a log. I haven’t tried it but thought the broom repair would be the perfect one to test for strength.

Strength Issue:broke almost immediately

I have been thinking of adding the “wood grain” modifier to up the strength. I’ll update the print profile if it works. Beside that all I can suggest is use pla-cf and up the fill percentage.

I looked into the modifier and It wasn't going to add any strength. So I updated the print profile with a design that has continuous top to bottom walls and infill at the core and a hockey stick bushing wrapped around. Thanks for the kick in the butt to improve this project. 👏
