Description
Viking Hair Charm
I designed this Viking-inspired hair charm to resemble handcrafted silver wire, inspired by Norse and Viking aesthetics.
The model is printed in PLA Tough+ to keep it slightly flexible and comfortable to use. PETG also works well, although I didn’t have any silver PETG available during testing. I also tried PLA Silk+ in silver — it prints nicely and looks great, but it is a bit more brittle, so be careful when attaching it to your hair.
How to use:
• Spiral charm – Twist a small section of hair around the spiral. The tiny spikes help hold it in place.
• Ring charm – Simply slide the ring up along the hair or braid to the position where you want it to sit.
Depending on the thickness of your braid or hair strand, you can easily scale the model to fit your needs.
The included print profile uses small supports to achieve a cleaner result. However, the model can also be printed without supports if you prefer.
I placed two spiral charms and four ring charms on the build plate so you have several pieces to experiment with.
