A high-performance, modern 4-blade boomerang designed for perfect return flights and durable outdoor fun!

This is a complete redesign of the classic returning boomerang, optimized for multi-color 3D printing and exceptional flight stability. The unique 4-blade configuration provides a smooth, predictable flight path and is perfectly weighted to return right to you. Printed in PETG, it’s durable enough for countless throws and ready for the park.

Printing Recommendations:

• Printer: Bambu Lab X1 or P1 series with AMS.
• Material: PETG is highly recommended for its durability and flexible tuning properties.
• Filament (as shown):

  • Accent Levers: [Insert Blue PETG Brand/Color, e.g., Basic Light Blue PETG]
• Layer Height: 0.2mm for a smooth finish and durable flight surfaces.
• Infill: 15% - 20% (Grid or Gyroid)
• Walls: 3-4 (provides essential structural strength for flight)
• Top/Bottom Layers: 4-5
• Build Plate: I recommend the textured PEI plate for a nice matte bottom finish. No brim or raft is required, provided your plate is clean and your printer is calibrated for PETG.

Tuning for Flight (IMPORTANT):

To achieve a perfect return flight, you must fine-tune the blades. PETG makes this easy!

1. Check for "Dihedral Angle": After printing, place the boomerang on a flat surface. All 4 blades should be slightly lifted from the table (about 1-2mm). This upward angle is crucial.
2. Adjusting with Heat: If the blades are too flat, you can gently heat the center of the X shape (using a hairdryer or heat gun on a low setting) and carefully bend the blades upwards. Let it cool in that position.
3. Tuning the Airfoils: The rounded edges are aerodynamically important. Ensure they are clean and free of zits or globs.

How to Throw (Practice Makes Perfect!):

This is a skill-based model. It won't return magically on the first throw. But don't give up—practice is key!

1. The Grip: Hold the boomerang vertically, like a pistol, with the painted (aerodynamic) side facing you.
2. Angle: The most important part! Hold it at a 15-20 degree angle to the right of your throwing arm (for right-hand throwers). NEVER hold it flat like a Frisbee.
3. Wind: Throw it across the wind, not directly into it. Ideally, throw it 45 degrees into the wind.
4. Practice: It may take 10-20 throws to get the angle, power, and wind interaction right. If it doesn't return, check your throwing angle and dihedral angle first.
