Albertosaurus Skull – 250mm Fossil Replica

This 250 mm long Albertosaurus skull replica captures the distinctive proportions of this Late Cretaceous tyrannosaur relative of Tyrannosaurus rex. Albertosaurus was a slightly smaller but very agile predator that lived around 70 million years ago in what is now Canada.

The model prints as a single detailed skull, making it a great display piece for fossil collectors, dinosaur enthusiasts, classrooms, or museum-style shelves.

Print Notes

This is the most challenging support removal job of any skull in my collection. The supports are dense inside the internal cavities, so removal is fiddly rather than dangerous.

Recommended process:

• Use needle-nose pliers to gently crush and pull supports free
• Work carefully around the teeth and small openings
• Expect around 15–20 minutes removing supports from cavities
• Finish with a sharp scalpel or hobby knife for small cleanup

On my print it took roughly 18 minutes for support removal, followed by about 5 minutes of detail cleanup.

As long as you take your time and use the right tools, there’s very little risk of damaging the print.
