3D Miniature of Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps
Model Information:
The stadium is located in Auxerre, Burgundy, directly on the banks of the Yonne River. It is inextricably linked to the legend of Guy Roux, who shaped the club for over 40 years.
- Ownership & Tradition: It is named after the club's founder Abbé Deschamps. The fact that the club owns the stadium (and not the city) is extremely rare in France and creates a very special bond between fans and the building.
- The Location: It is famous for its idyllic location. The stadium is surrounded by trees and is so close to the Yonne River that high balls can sometimes land the ball in the water.
- Architecture: It is a classic, "English" stadium with four separate, enclosed stands that are very close to the pitch. There is no running track, which creates a very dense atmosphere.
- Modernization: Despite its traditional charm, it has been modernized over the years (especially the stands behind the goals), with the characteristic blue seats of the AJA (Association de la Jeunesse Auxerroise) dominating the image.
- Guy Roux Legacy: The stadium breathes the history of the "Miracle of Auxerre" – when a small village club rose to become French champions and Champions League participants.
