Description
Fully Parametric Nut & Bolt Generator — With Perfect Threads
This model generates a mathematically accurate nut and bolt pair.
Everything is parametric — radius, pitch, length, head size, nut height, and tolerance. Just adjust the values and generate exactly the hardware you need.
Key Features
- Perfect threads Built from a precise 2D helical slice, extruded and twisted for flawless geometry.
- Zero‑overlap layout The bolt and nut automatically space themselves apart so they never fuse in preview.
- Print‑friendly design No supports needed. Clean overhangs. Strong, functional threads.
- Built‑in tolerances The nut subtracts an expanded thread profile for smooth turning right off the printer.
- Chamfered starts Both bolt and nut include guiding chamfers for easy engagement.
- Hex head + hex nut Standard, familiar geometry that works with real tools.
Parameters You Can Adjust
- Bolt radius
- Thread pitch
- Bolt length
- Head radius & height
- Nut height
- Tolerance (0.2–0.4 recommended)
This makes it perfect for replacement parts, prototyping, teaching mechanical concepts, or just experimenting with thread geometry.
Who This Is For
Makers, engineers, students, educators, and anyone who wants a clean, reliable, customizable nut & bolt generator that prints perfectly every time.
