About the model:
Yes, the strings hold the butterfly properly, without bending down. Surprisingly stable, actually.
There is also a free-standing version for those, who want to print the butterfly only.
Print guide:
Not scalable. Must be printed with 0.2mm layer height. Please just use the provided print files without modifications. (It includes custom supports and speed modifications for perfect quality and some tricky solutions for the strings.)
Getting it off the plate and removing support is actually not as dangerous as it seems. The strings have quite a lot of flexibility so they won't get damaged from a little bit of bending. Be careful tho. I recommend using pliers to break off each branch one-by-one.
